Praise:

YOUR PERFECT WILL Lord Jesus, my King and my Savior I yield myself to you. My heart is open awaiting your entrance. Come in and cleanse me, mold me, and consume my heart to serve you. Bind me in a union of your love. I call upon your name for your mercy; lead me, guide me, and help me to serve you faithfully until I come to see you face-to-face.

This is a letter sent to me while in El Salvador,

El Salvador:What is CHRISTmas without Christ? It is just a mas. So May I be the first to wish you a Merry Christmas for the infamous year 2012. This year will be a very exciting year. “Look up for your redemption drawth nigh”.


What is interesting is I arrived in El Salvador December 25 one year ago. Many lives have been changed. Demons cast out of the demon possessed, sick have been healed, one man was raised from the dead, and many have taken the challenge to memorize five verses per day!!!! The people who are memorizing the word of God are going to change the nations. One ten year old next door is memorizing five verses per day and is getting her little friends to do the same! Thank God.





I have been living in a neighborhood where two days ago, three bullets were fired through the front door of the next door neighbors house! I first thought it was fireworks. I have only seen one body in the bushes since I have been here. This is an improvement over the Philippines where I once lived, during a Communist war. There I led the Communist guerrillas to the Lord. It does seem that every where I live on the earth, there are shots fired. It has not been a boring life.





This is a most religious place. Out of the total population of six million, or so, less than 20% take religion seriously. One must remember that “Here even the atheists baptize their infants”. And out of the 20% only 2% are Protestant “born again”. And out of that, one group of 3,000 church attendees “only three are memorizing scripture seriously”, according to one!!! The true store here is that a small number who attend church for two hours on Sunday, go home and watch TV. I have never owned a TV, but here Super Hero T-shirts are vogue. I always tell the people that, ”None of these Super Hero´s ever raised the dead”. They smile.




If we are going to “make disciples” we must “….teach them to OBEY ALL things I have commanded” said Jesus. The first thing I teach is “to do”. For Jesus it was made clear,” unless you forsake all and take up a cross you cannot be my disciple”. This is step one.





One man had a stroke was healed last week at the hospital after I prayed for him. The first time that I prayed for him he said, “I am 95% better” and the second time I prayed for him, 100%. The man in the next bed asked me to pray for him. He had been in the hospital for two months. I first prayed for his eye site and he was “better”. The second time I prayed for his legs for he could not stand and he said, “Heat is going through my legs”. He told his wife that “He was healed and began putting his pants on for he was going home!!!” That was a Good Day.




The first man and I are now in a Bible Study together and he is taking everything to heart. And he is teaching his wife. She is very excited for it is changing the family and he is spending QUALITY time with his son, age two, according to Deut. 6:1-7.I fully expect the son to be reading fluently in a year at the age of three. I did this with my daughter. He is very excited and so am I. He told me “That he had been teaching one lady what I taught him and she is very excited and has many friends”. (II Timothy 2:2).




MY GOAL is a “church planting movement”, “house to house” (Acts 20:20). Duplication has already started. I MUST NEVER FORGET “The word is seed and the heart is soil” according to Jesus.





Also, one young man aspires to write Christian books and he is asking for my help. For him it is a lifelong dream. He just needed some encouragement. We will begin this week.








The need to travel is increasing and I do believe that I will be starting different groups in different cities soon. So, I do need a permanent place to live and have an office.





Also, I need to learn Spanish. However, I am encouraged at this point.

And most of all I do need your prayers. It would be nice to be connected to a larger Christian Community and I plan to build a web site. There is a great need for Christians to learn how to make the transition from “Church Attending” into the realm of being a disciple. This is especially true for the fathers (Malachi 4:4-6, Luke 1:7), who are the high priest of the home. One long range goal is to create a speed reading computer program that will teach the fathers how make disciples out of their own children. Speed reading and the love of learning will give birth to the lover of the Word of God.





I also have several books that need to be written. 2012 is going to be a really good year.





And I do not seek finance but only seek the Kingdom of God and He has always provided. (Matthew 6:33).





Even though I am in El Salvador my long range goal is to reach into the most unreached areas of the world, called the 1040 Window with the gospel. From here and from Asia, we will send out missionaries.

I came to El Salvador December 25th last year on a bus from Texas. There is no snow here. It was going to be a quick stop over. It is becoming a life transforming experience, even after spending years in Asia. I share the gospel a lot in the USA on the streets and store to store. I ministered to one lady and her life was so changed, she insisted that I come here, meet her family. That is how I actually came to El Salvador.



Leaning is on two levels. One is the culture and the second is the language. Both have been challenging. It is hard to tell the level of change that has taken place in different lives. One is a non believer and has invited me to spend Christmas there. He has a neighbor who has is single and with children. I challenged one, age ten to begin to memorize five verses per day. She took the Bible and memorized six verses in three minutes! I think she can memorize as fast as she can read. I was told she has kept that up for a long time. I will know more tomorrow. Her name is Jazmin, age ten. TV has captured the minds and hearts of the people here. It only means one must become more creative in teaching ability. It is a goal to see this “Oikos” or household become a house (church) (Acts 20:20). Another major goal is to see the fathers discipling their own children (Deut. 6:1-7).



Many lives have changed like this one on a one to one basis. I live to see a move of God will need to follow up all that I have led to the Lord in the past. Mobility is going to be a challenge, but it must be learned. Since I have been here the Lord has taken me place to place.



I have set new goals for myself after reading John G. Lake’s life, brokenness, humility and purity in spirit, sold and body. I am going to seek after God with a total abandonment. I had been fasting two to three days a week and have found that it has been a great challenge. It would be nice for God to provide a “place to pray and fast”. For Paul it was “down by the river”.

 

The Language Barrier:

I have been traveling many years by faith and this seems to be the strangest of all in experiences.  It has to do with learning the language. I put my heart into it for a year and I do think I am out of the introduction section in the kindergarten book on learning Spanish. In Asia, I dealt with many different tribal groups and I had to teach a disciple English and he traveled with me and became my translator. That worked well there.
