God’s surprises
and miracles everyday
Seem to touch us in the most personal way.
I wish we could chose the people we lose
But without pain there is no lesson to gain.
Too many times we walk down the road lost
Feeling like nothing matters or has any cost
But no matter what we are left saying
Who can we run to? Who can we lean on?
Where is that person we can call our own
Tell me why we often feel alone.
Our guardian angels so precious and sweet
Would you recognize their faces if you met them on the street.
There are so many questions out there which to us lie unknown
But we will someday find the answer when we meet our King on His
throne.
And when our time on this earth is no more
Shall you be knocking on heaven’s door?
Saying “Who can I run to? Who can I lean on?
Who is that person I can call my own
Tell me why I’m standing alone.”
